Call to African leaders

Football legends are calling on African leaders to step up.

How is polio affecting African countries today?

Children across Africa are still being paralysed by polio. This deadly, debilitating disease is preventable thanks to safe and effective vaccines. To end polio, we must vaccinate every child until the virus is gone for good. Eradicating polio is within reach, with continued commitment and action from every family, leader, and community.
