The world has made huge strides against polio, with cases down 99.9% since 1988—but the last stretch is the toughest. That’s where you come in.
The Team End Polio movement challenge is designed to unite communities in Canada—and around the world—through physical activity while driving awareness and action to achieve a polio-free future for all.
From 24 September – 24 October, Team End Polio is inviting people to Strava to contribute towards a collective 60 million minutes of movement dedicated to ending polio.
Health workers travel extraordinary distances to vaccinate 400 million children against polio every year. Match their drive with your own. Every minute you move on Strava is a minute in solidarity with the health workers who never stop.
The challenge is designed to be inclusive and accessible, inviting people of all abilities to take part, whether it’s running, cycling, swimming, wheelchair biking, or any activity that motivates them.
As with any challenge, we’re stronger as a team. Let’s move together to protect all children against polio.
Joining is simple:
Starting on 24 September.
Run, cycle, swim, roll, or do whatever gets you moving. Save your activity in Strava, and it counts toward our global goal.
Invite friends to join — on WhatsApp, social media, or in person. Check out the social media toolkit below.
Multiply your impact with a fundraiser for Rotary’s PolioPlus Fund. All donations go to reaching children in need with polio vaccines.
Prefer to fundraise without joining a Team End Polio page? Visit raise.rotary.org, select “Start your fundraiser,” choose “PolioPlus Fund (with Strava),” and follow steps 3–5 above.
Coming soon.
We’re stronger as a team—tell the world you want to end polio and encourage your friends to join the challenge!
