A world united in the final push to end polio.

Since 1988, global efforts have driven polio cases down by more than 99.9%.

Now, with the symbol of a single red square – the “Last Square Flag” – we’re rallying humanity for the final 0.1%.

Welcome to The Last Square.

What is The Last Square?

Your space to watch behind the stories of people behind the movement.

The Last Square is a global campaign that brings together the worlds of Formula 1, sport, and human solidarity to spotlight the final race to eradicate polio – for good.

Inspired by the iconic chequered flag, the campaign introduces one single red square: a symbol of the last 0.1% of polio still left to defeat. It represents the final step the world must take to cross the finish line together.

This movement is powered by personal stories – from drivers, athletes, health workers, influencers, and global ambassadors – each connecting their world of perseverance, precision, and resilience to humanity’s own final mile.

A world-class lineup of drivers, global leaders, influencers, health advocates each united by a shared commitment to end polio.
